F.D.H.Q.

Back to work on the F.D.H.Q.  I made a few changes to fit in more firefighting equipment and to lower the overall visual impact of the building at the same time.

  • Removed the third floor
  • Shortened the antenna
  • Enlarged the right hand side garage to fit in a second row of trucks
  • Removed the third bay - with that space now dedicated to exterior parking
  • Removed the N scale fire trucks, etc, that had been attached to the outside
Final detailing remains to be completed.  Still need to do final paint, install the helipad, add a rooftop doorway/vestibule, finish installing screening on the 2nd floor exterior and add light bars and final red/white paint to all equipment.

F.D.H.Q. station now contains
  • 2 extended snorkels
  • 1 6x6 high clearance ladder
  • 1 aerial platform
  • 1 heavy rescue truck
  • 1 rescue boat on a trailer
  • 1 mini pumper
  • 1 pumper
  • 1 4WD high clearance pumper
  • 1 Dodge Charger fire chief
  • 1 Cadillac ambulance
  • 1 GMC motor home mobile HQ
  • 1 antique fire truck used for parades and as a "last stand" auxiliary truck
  • 1 helicopter
