Thneed Factory & Pt. Pacific FDHQ

Today I continued work on the Thneed Factory by adding rooftop details and the 3rd floor.

The main building is now framed up.  A chemical storage tank, outbuildings and the second factory building and loading docks remain to be added.

I also did some work on the Fire Department.  This included:
  • Rough frame-up of the new ladder truck
  • Rough frame-up of the new snorkel truck
  • Final selection of apparatuses
  • Purchased a Land Rover for use as the new rescue vehicle
With the new layout, the front of the fire station will need to be extended outward.  To make room, one of the supports for the railroad viaduct will be removed and replaced with a stouter bridge than what is in place now.

The station will be refinished again with a latticework front facade and new apparatus bay doors.

Next time:  South End Update
